Hello my name is Chuck
and I have been
brewing for
many years now. I
started out like most beginners in home brewing with extract and then I
moved on to brewing partial mashes. I then took the dive
into all grain and now depending on how I feel or the weather, I do one
or the other, or a mixture of the three. One thing I have
learned
over the past three years is that brewing is like cooking.
There
are lots of ways to bake a cake and the same holds true with brewing
beer. Brewing beer is very easy. It just takes some
time.
In fact, the hardest thing I believe about brewing is being
able
to wait until you can sample your brew. This web site is
devoted
to all of my experience so far. I will
post everything from recipes to tips here. I hope you enjoy
the
site and send me feedback on how to make
the site better. Sit back and pop the top on your
favorite homebrew and enjoy. If you have not started to brew
yet,
grab a store bought........ it will do for now.
If like dry, hoppy,
and just a hint of spiciness
in your beer you should give this recipe a try - Rye "N's"
Honey Ale
I won "Memphis Homebrewer Of The Year" in the
extravaganza contest that was held at Bosco's in Memphis on April
24th. I won a total of 5 medals and a huge German beer
stein. I put a picture in the pictures section of my winning
stein. Click
here to
see all the results of the contest.
